Does Myspace even work anymore?
So I moved most of my self centered life updating to this new far fangled technology called Myspace.com. I thought it was the blog/networking/friendmaking/hotpornactressI'll never meetknowing/everycomic on earthjoining/ a day late and a buck short bandwaggonjumping/ findmusicIlikeinordertostealonlimewire kind of place.
But since FOX took it over(couplemonthsback) it has rapidly become this horrible sesspool of transparent marketing from the type of people that talk really loud and don't ever listen types.
You've all met them before, they read a book on selfpromotion or better yet took a course at night school from a car salesman, and now that same panache and flare are fattening the site to the point where it has become sad.
So I only visit to do the one thing I really like about myspace. The fact I can point at a picture and send a message. Now why the email companies have jumped all over this is beyond me.
But the real problem has been its down time....
I have never seen a site down as much as myspace. It's this lame hobbled cancer ridden network, that keeps getting admited into the hospital. Every week I think its doing better then bam a relapse and its in for another few nights of treatment. And so much has never even worked.. Like the Instant Messenger ? Has that ever worked? I do not think so... or the import contacts? Only if you have less than twenty...
I can't help but wonder if most of these problems stem from all the extra crap that they try to do in their blatant marketing, like changing the login when Superman or Xmen came out, or if they are not tracking us behind the scenes with tons of extra code... I mean there has got to be a reason it takes forty seconds for my inbox to load? I can only hope it's the NSA.
I hope that myspace will be replaced soon, by a faster simpler system... that allows videoconferencing and uncensored porn very very soon.
That is my wish to you universe, grant as you see fit.....
