Updates on ME!
Where to begin. I had a great week in Portland Oregon. I rocked out Harvey's and had great shows all week. Worked with a comic who was cool, and casual, and funny.
The week ended kinda sucky though as I left the keys to my car in the other comics car. Then he drove to Spokane. I awoke to no keys, and an immovable car. Grrr. Sucky! I had to get him to fed ex them to me, and I spent an extra day trapped in the condo (which was not a condo but a house, and was beautiful... I had a jacuzzi in my room.)
Then off to Bend for a benefit for Hurricane Katrina. I am a flawed man. A very flawed man. I was irritated with this event. I am as compassionate as the next guy. And I want to help out... but, if you are asking comics to perform at an event, you shouldn't cover some comics expenses and not others... Seriously uncool. I mean they flew some comics in from god knows where, then others got a greyhound ticket which they paid for themselves, then others didn't so much as get a buck for gas. It wasn't very fair, and it didn't seem to make sense. I know I sound like a bastard, an ungrateful complainer. But... I did drive hundreds of miles to give my time to entertain and raise money (we raised 70, 000 dollars!), they asked me to come in early for press, and there was none, and I had to keep switching hotels, but then other acts were being chauffeured around in a limo and weren't out of pocket a dime, whereas I was out of pocket a hundred plus... but I don't even get a receipt to deduct that from my taxes....
And there was no rhyme or reason to who they covered, if they were going by credits I should have been the one, but I was expendable....
God I'm a bitch.
Anyways the show went great. They helped alot of people and made a difference I hope. I even met some people from New Orleans, and it was really touching. Regardless of my socialist rant, I'm glad I did it....
Ok I just got some really cool pics of My Twat hat being flown in the sky's above Afghanistan, I will post them tonight. But I need to get some food. Ciao!
